Danny Woo

For over 20 years Danny has dedicated himself to the youth, as a middle school science teacher in Los Angeles and West Covina, and as a basketball coach at his alma mater. He is passionate about bringing out a youths full potential, and is successful in doing so. He learned such skills from a past coach in his own youth when he was part of a Chinese Basketball group. Today he is a proud and loving father and husband who is getting back into the game of coaching basketball.

Teddy Bedjakian

Teddy Bedjakian is the restaurateur of Edwin Mills by Equator located in Old Pasadena. Teddy started at that location back when it was known as Equator Coffee House. He was the one who decided to rebrand, and thus rename, the cafe in order to survive and thrive against the competition between coffee shops during 2014. Surviving and thriving has been a part of Teddy’s life since he was young. His family immigrated to the US when he was 7 years old from Armenia where they were being targeted. Growing up Teddy describes himself as a tough kid, from living in a tough neighborhood during the time when Pasadena was not the prime place to hang out.

Aaron Sanchez

Aaron M. Sanchez currently hosts “The Morning Show” weekdays at 8am on ABC News Radio KMET 1490AM & 98.1 FM. He has been described as a natural, multi-talented, playful and personable host. His multiple years of hosting Red Carpet interviews and producing various projects with NBC News Radio KCAA station in 2010 as an entertainment reporter, led him to a shot at filling in as the co-host of their morning show. In 2013 that opportunity led to a weekly one hour talk show that Sanchez Executive Produced and co-hosted, “LIVE with Aaron and Kelly” an entertainment variety show visited by celebrity guests. In 2016 Sanchez was offered his own Morning Show on ABC News Radio KMET1490AM. There he began adopting the latest streaming technologies on Facebook LIVE and PeriscopeTV. As an early adopter of Livestream Platforms, Sanchez is among the earliest Cross Platform Broadcasting Pioneers utilizing simultaneous streaming to Television, Radio and Online Streaming Networks.

Jack Feldman

Jack worked at the LA Department of Water and Power for over 35 years where he retired in 2006 as Senior Manager in charge of the Power Engineering Organization. Over the last 12 years Jack was responsible for putting together the W&PA website and virtual museum. The museum is the largest of its kind, consisting of over 20,000 images, including background information related to the history of Los Angeles and Southern California.

Elizabeth (Beth) Ahlers

Beth Ahlers speaks on the topic of “homeschooling” and family life after nearing the end of 25 years of home education and raising 6 children. Beth’s message is “It CAN be done!” and “Family relationships are worth investing in and sacrificing for.” Though a survivor and fighter for life and freedom, she focuses on the redemptive qualities of life’s difficulties, the good that comes out of the bad, the growth and the joy that is the reward of wisdom, sacrifice, and perseverance.

Michelle Kuei

Michelle Kuei is a certified confidence coach who helps woman entrepreneurs who struggles with the confidence and courage to tell their unique story to get seen, get heard, and get hired. She is the author of a memoir “Perfectly Normal-an immigrant’s story of making it in America”; an inspirational journey of overcoming adversity after an automobile accident that changed her life trajectory. Michelle was born in Taiwan and grew up in New York, but today she lives in Los Angeles. Michelle enjoys a nice cup of coffee and meaningful conversations with friends. Her favorite food is Hawaiian pizza.

Terry Tornek

Terry Tornek was born and raised in Brooklyn, New York. He attended the Yeshivah of Flatbush and Erasmus Hall High School where he met his future wife, Maria Mascoli and served as President of the New York City Student Council. After marrying and serving in the US Army National Guard (Airborne) Terry worked for the US Dept. of Housing and Urban Development and then earned a Masters of Science in Urban Planning from Columbia University’s School of Architecture while Maria was a public school teacher on the Lower East Side. In 1982 the family moved to Pasadena where Terry accepted the position of Planning Director. He was hired because of his history of neighborhood improvement and historic preservation. Terry served for 3 years and helped to establish the redevelopment plan for Old Pasadena. He was elected to represent District 7 on the City Council in April, 2009, was reelected in 2013 and was then elected as Mayor in April, 2015 serving until December, 2020.
