Known initially as Wilson Lake in 1875, the city’s acquisition of the land transformed it into the scenic haven it is today. Lacy Park is a testament to the city’s commitment to preserving natural beauty for generations to come.
Lacy Park offers an array of features for visitors to enjoy. The inviting picnic area often has musical concerts, civic gatherings, and pancake breakfasts. The park’s open green spaces have diverse trees and shrubs that offer the perfect backdrop for strolls or peaceful moments of reflection.
Lacy Park offers two distinct loops to explore for those seeking a walk. The inner loop spans approximately 3/4 mile, and the outer loop stretches 1 mile, allowing parkgoers to enjoy the beautiful scenery.
We understand that a park visit wouldn’t be complete for many without our four-legged companions. At Lacy Park, dogs are welcomed, provided they are leashed and under the attentive care of their owners.
