History

The city of Irwindale’s creation was part of the land grants around several Ranchos in the area in the 1800s. Though some small families did settle in the area economically, the area didn’t see much growth until the invention of cars. This caused more demand for places with harder land. 

Irwindale was incorporated in 1957. Further urban development brought attention to several large corporations to call the city home base.
