About The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center:
Opened in 1990 and located at 360 N Arroyo Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91103, The Rose Bowl Aquatics Center is a pool facility next to the Rose Bowl Stadium.
It is the training facility for the Rose Bowl Aquatics swim club, the Rose Bowl Masters swimming and diving teams, and the water polo club.
The Rose Bowl Aquatics swim club boasts numerous renowned athletes, among them Jason Lezak, Emily Adamczyk, and Kevin Kuhn, all of whom have secured spots on world championship trials teams. Additionally, Kristine Quance, an Olympic gold medalist, currently serves as a coach for the team.
Noteworthy Events
The pool has been the home of the final practices for the 2000 US Olympic swimming and diving team. The USA Men’s water polo team held a training game vs. Croatia here in June 2012 before the 2012 Olympics.
Nirvana’s famous cover art, of a baby floating in a pool, for their album Nevermind was shot at the center.
