About Norton Simon Museum

Founded in 1922 and originally known as the Pasadena Art Institute, The Norton Simon Museum has an exceptional art collection that includes works from the early Renaissance through the 20th century, as well as centuries of art from South and Southeast Asia. 

Noteworthy pieces include those created by renowned masters such as Raphael, Rembrandt, Degas, Manet, Van Gogh, and Picasso. 

Visitors can enjoy a serene sculpture garden accompanied by a café operated by the esteemed Patina Restaurant Group. The museum’s store is well-stocked with art books, supplies, stationery, and games. Throughout the year, the museum hosts various exciting events and educational programs.
