Golden Deli’s journey began as a Chinese fast-food buffet. Initially, due to the limited diversity in the area, this modest, comforting restaurant – half its current size – struggled to stay afloat. Faced with the possibility of closure, Golden Deli made a pivotal decision to introduce authentic Vietnamese homestyle food to the buffet. 

This proved to be precisely what the San Gabriel Valley needed as word began to spread, lines began to form. Today, Golden Deli remains committed to serving you those original recipes, from the iconic Pho to flavorful Vietnamese noodle soups and crispy fried egg rolls. What truly distinguishes Golden Deli is the careful process of slow-cooking the Pho in large kettles, allowing it to develop its deep, robust flavor, with a silky, refined finish.

Golden Deli has been dedicated to providing its patrons with a wide range of homestyle Vietnamese cuisine for over four decades. Since its inception in 1981, the restaurant has aimed to introduce this culinary tradition to an area.
